Product Description:

A musical fantasy adventure in game land! When three technology obsessed youngsters visit their grandfather, he becomes increasingly frustrated with their un-enthusiasm for anything other than their phones and the internet. He reveals a pair of very unusual seven sided dice that he explains were given to him in the Far East by a wise old mystic.

Despite Grandad's stern warning not to touch the dice because of their magical powers, mischievous Marney scoffs at the idea and rolls the strangely shaped dice. As lights flash, thunder claps and eerie, strange noises are heard, the petrified trio are transported to the strange land of Lady Fortune where they become pawns in her games!

Each of them must compete against the devious, devilish diva in a game of their choice to win their freedom and avoid being a game piece in Fortune's land forever.

They encounter many eccentric and humorous board game characters as they embark on their journey: the pompous Stationmasters and the Fleet Street 'hack' Reporters in Monopoly, the defensive suspects in Cluedo and the quarrelling Castles in the final game of Chess.

Can they manage to play the games for REAL and defeat the conniving Lady Fortune? Will they learn it's better to ditch the plastic, as living life is fantastic?

Contains 29 speaking roles (can be easily reduced to 25 speaking roles if necessary) with any number of chorus parts (ideal cast size 63). Extensive production notes, simple staging, very easy to costume and easily constructed and manageable props. Separate CDs of vocal and backing tracks (with essential sound effects) and Full Performance piano score also available. Suitable for Key Stage 2, ages 7 to 11.

A BRAND NEW product called Sing it! is also available to accompany Let The Games Begin. This CD-ROM teaches the songs to the children without any teacher input. Children can use it at school or at home (think of the time it will save you!). Most schools use it in class on an interactive white board or in the school hall on the overhead projector to allow full cast practice. Children LOVE learning this way and the product is foolproof. Just give it to the children and they’ll do the rest.

Click here for more details about the new Sing it! CD-ROM (well worth watching).

Also available is a CD-ROM of Backdrops, which contains instant scenery with digital backdrops supplied in both a PowerPoint presentation and as individual JPG files. No more scenery painting! These images may be projected onto a screen or wall at the back of your stage or hand them to a local printer to print onto large boards or sheets in order to create your stage backdrops. They're also useful to print off for cast and stage crew to familiarise themselves with the sets and scene changes. The CD-ROM of Backdrops contains a different backdrop for every scene change.
